Meet Chester.
On his first day with us he has managed to pee and poop on his puppy pad, and decided that despite us buying ALL the puppy toys, his favorite thing to play with is the man’s shoelaces.

I think of it as like my obstetric cholestasis. The genetic propensity to it was always there, but it didn’t come to fruition until I got pregnant.
(And the result of the illness was worth suffering it)

At least 8 kids in her class of 20 at private ex-grammar school were similarly dyslexic/dyspraxic/autistic and above average IQ. Wonderful weirdos the lot of them

At 7 my daughter had reading age of 3, maths age of 12+ and state school said no need (or capacity) to help her. Private school got her remedial help and more importantly made her feel happy at school. She also got extra time which compensated for her slow reading speed (in all subjects)

It is. But it gets better. And you don’t HAVE to talk about your feelings. You can just learn to feel ok about being in a relationship with your therapist, and use that to make you better at being ok in relationships with other people. And when that happens, life gets better

Mine is wonderful - I can fill in at any point 8-5 and get a message back within a couple of hours either with same day appointment link, appointment link for 2 weeks time for non urgent or time that a doctor will call me.

You know how on an episode of House how they work tirelessly to diagnose and treat a patient… yeah that’s not real life. It took YEARS to give me a diagnosis!
