At 18:55 CET on Sunday, 8 March, a very bright fireball streaked across the skies of Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, glowing for around six seconds before fragmenting. 🧪🔭

A comic in four panels: Panel 1. It's night, and the rain pours through the windows like... cats and dogs (see previous episode). The group of the five Tree Spirits are playing with the Gothic Sorceress's home accessories and decoration, making a mess. The Gothic Sorceress, in the middle, in a yoga lotus pose with candles around her tries to contain their actions, but they are too much. She asks her AI Parrot: > Gothic Sorceress: "Avian Intelligence, tell them in their language to stop! They're making a mess!" Panel 2. The AI Parrot doesn't react, displaying a spinning loading symbol in its speech bubble. The Gothic Sorceress urges it to hurry as the Tree Spirits continue their actions, breaking things, playing with fire, and spilling ink. > AI Parrot: (Loading Symbol Icon) loading... > Gothic Sorceress: "Come on! Disconnecting." > Gothic Sorceress: "No... No!! Not NOW!!!" Panel 4. The next day, the AI Parrot finally reconnects, happy and fresh, but the house is in ruins, with smokes, everything is broken, upside down... The Gothic Sorceress sits on the floor, she looks exhausted and apathetic: the five Tree Spirits are all sleeping cutely on her lap. > Narrator: "The next day..." > AI Parrot: "Network restored. Hi there, how can I help you?" > Gothic Sorceress: "Too late..."

Some weird BlueSky loading problems.

Reposts were not showing for my account nor users on the same PDS. Only original posts loaded. Even when I checked using an account on a different PDS.

I thought my account bugged out at first but it's another BlueSky PDS overload or restart loop from the logs.

Text from Kitten Space Agency discord post by Blackrack: Differential ring rotations Ring meshes and sections now move independently with their own speeds, with objects in lower orbits moving faster. This was previously faked around the camera by moving all the rocks together, but varying the speed based on the camera position. It is now accurate for individual rocks and separate rocks can be seen moving relative to each other. This creates some interesting visual effects when orbiting inside the rings as rocks move at different speeds around you, which can be very disorienting with time compression. The first video shows the effect added to the 2d rings. Following Pan around its orbit, ring sections around it seem to move in different directions as they orbit at different speeds relative to it. The second video shows rock meshes around a vessel orbiting inside the rings.

Not sure as to the mechanics yet but this was shared on the Discord by Blackrack. Looks absolutely amazing!

Very nice of the Moover site to offer backups for free though I worry that won't scale.

Is there another tool to save a backup locally in an archive, using a rotation key?

Or would I need to write something myself using the atproto API?

Looks like my BlueSky PDS morel.us-east.host.bsky.network was down for a couple of hours, locking me out for the duration.

If got the docs right if I had recovery keys for my DID, I could migrate the account to a new PDS but there's no built in method for one to backup these unless you self host 🤔
