It's been a while since I watched it, but I recall he just was using nerd4cities' methodology, which was based off of door-to-door transit time, and would assume flight for here to Chicago

I think he's not suggesting Seattle-Chicago lines. He's suggesting Seattle/Vancouver high speed rail, which hits totally different issues.
Seattle/Chicago is too far for rail per the methodology he used, IIRC
I just said "fuck it" and retired at 50
When I predicted EV sales would still be strong this year, this isn't what I had in mind
Hell, my vanity domain is likely older than OP (y2k)
Four years ago, my water heater died and spilled water out and I needed to emergency replace it. So ... I decided to replace the anode on the new one this year.
I've now had two plumbers come out to tell me no ones does that, but if I want, $1k plz.
@techconnectify.bsky.social, this your beat?
If your immediate group uses Teams, Linux is gonna suck, but...
Teams has a browser version that usually works "ok".
Also, outlook has a web version that IT can turn on, and that works well, actually. You can also access outlook via IMAP, but there the calendar integration sucks
Google workplace and slack?
@petersagal.bsky.social a bluff the listener proposal....
westseattleblog.com/2026/03/vide...
Unfortunately that hasn't worked in Cali (or Seattle or really anywhere else. Instead the environmental wing of the party decided that McMansions didn't need permits, but apartment buildings needed a 3k impact statement per nail)
He said wrong answers only...
His summary of the quote left out "US". All US wars. Puppet masters behind all US wars. Yeah, that reads as pretty anti-Semitic to me, a non-jewish white boy.
Self driving cars have remote support staff to take over if the system fails. For some reason, this created a meme that theyβre remotely piloted.
The idea that someone in the Philippines is doing real-time driving of a car in the U.S. is silly when you consider how physics works.
Front end is the interface, backend is the data model. I tend to think front-end work requires more varied skills, and I say take as someone whoβs fundamentally always been a backend developer.
I just move bits man. I donβt have to know what they mean.
Also the rain is so soft that umbrellas are pointless. You can walk 5 blocks in the rain and not get wet.
A population map of Hungary. The high population density areas overlap with the low vacancy areas from the earlier quoted.post

So yeah, kinda
I don't know about the specifics here, but this formulation usually hides the detail that the vacancies are all in Potsdam NY, and the homeless are all in NYC
The biggest political divide on here is not between left and liberal but between "politics is real and involves real outcomes for real people" and "no it doesn't fuck you"
The only real limits are "official capacity". From behind a podium, there are no limits.
Defamation is just not on the list of things you can sue the federal government for, and people acting for the government can sub in the government in lawsuits
January 3rd is the only day so far this year that cops *haven't* killed someone.π€·πΏββοΈ
Dems in NYC still have over 1,000 national guard troops deployed in the subway for no reason, compared to the GOP only deploying 800 in DC for no reason.
Cops have arrest quotas. ICE has arrest quotas. Same same.
Americans have been so poisoned by TV copaganda slop that it largely doesn't register to them that police officers are not supposed to point guns at people
guns are in principle not a tool of law enforcement, they are a tool of self-defense that we allow law enforcement officers to have
And get a notification every time you power it on about how the network is unconnected
(it's subsidized by advertising/data collection for advertising. They're all smart. Most of them try and fingerprint what you're watching to sell as data, and the smart bits show ads)
Lose
Uh ... This
Well, as a libertarian nutjob β¦ no notes. I especially liked the last third of it.
Look, if you had a party scheduled at your house, and the pipes broke and the floor was covered in raw sewage, youβd tell your friends not to come over.
In that spirit: world, skip the World Cup until we get this sewage worked out. And donβt be too sure about the Olympics.
Por quΓ© no los dos?
(Targeted Deregulation, and also wealth taxes)
I expect every single law enforcement officer of any kind to be willing to die rather than risk killing a person unnecessarily.
Anyone who does not like that tradeoff should not seek to carry a gun on behalf of the government.
It's really that simple.
