Granted this is like a 16-minute sample size (which is an “oh no” on its own that he can’t get on the floor against high-major comp)

In those 5 games, UNC has scored 1.12 PPP with Davis on the court but only 0.87 without him.
The Heels have allowed 1.13 PPP with Trimble on the floor but 1.38 (!!) without him.
UNC’s On-Court/Off-Court Ratings for the 5 Tier A games:
Davis: +37.0
Trimble: +22.2
Powell: +14.7
Claude: +6.3
Lubin: +5.2
Withers: -8.3
Jackson: -8.8
Washington: -12.2
Cadeau: -18.7
Tyson: -27.8
Interestingly, perhaps, UNC has a better winning percentage in sub-70 possession games under Davis (69.8% in 43 games vs. 65.8% in 184 such games under RoyW).
Under Roy Williams, Carolina went 81-17 (82.7%) in games with at least 80 possessions.
Under Hubert Davis, the Heels are 4-6 (including tonight’s loss) in such games.
Love Powell’s willingness to make that quick extra pass. Very different players, but reminds me a lot of Bullock in that regard.
+37.6 with Cadeau on the court, -4.1 without him.
UNC Efficiency Margin by # of Cadeau/Davis/Trimble on the Court:
All 3: +37.8 in 73 minutes
2 of 3: +27.4 in 64 minutes
Only 1: -47.6 in 18 minutes
The only-1 number should improve as Jackson and Powell continue to develop (though those lineups will be used sparingly in big games).
