You think plato was real? They made him up to scare young philosophers

Anglophonic Tsinoy | He/They | Twitch @ experimentego Just a cat in a human suit. The death of print magazines put me on retirement. Sometimes I still get to write words. "Aren't you, *the* Matthew Arcilla?" "I used to be."
You think plato was real? They made him up to scare young philosophers
Yesterday a Breton had the audacity to tell me, a person who experiences weather above 26 C daily, that 19 C was way too hot for them. I wanted to light them on fire.
What's it stuffed with
Going to tell my kids this is what they fed the Katipuneros
I just showed my partner all of these pictures and they said, "Puede na mag asawa!" in the way that only a nosey auntie and uncle can
Love seeing Sanitarium on this.
It's hot and I'm too annoyed about a work-related thing to write, so it's Re9uiem time again. I'll be live at 10:30 PM Eastern Daylight / 5:30 AM UTC / 2:30 PM Japan Time. Which is to say about twenty minutes from now. If you wanna hang, I'll be at twitch.tv/experimentego
What I think is sort of remarkable about Firefly is the way that pretty most of the theoretical character and narrative engines are pretty good, they are just generally concieved of β and executed in β extremely rancid ways once you get past the cast's basic charm
Look, I'll be real with y'all: I liked Firefly a lot back in the early 2000s, and I think it's a show which got very far on the strength of its extremely winning ensemble. Every single thing we've subsequently learned about where Minear and Whedon wanted to go with it makes me glad it got axed.
The only explanation I can imagine for a Firefly restart -- after decades of fan petitioning, et al -- is that somehow Paramount decided it's worth paying Disney to make this a key addition to their "rehire the canceled" anti-MeToo strategy that includes John Lasseter, Brett Ratner and Max Landis.
Now's a great time to back Blades '68 because I'm the latest stretch goal! If my goal is hit, I'll tell you all about how government experiments have had the unexpected side effect of creating psychic rats who have begun organizing against capital.

Thanks to AI-generated movies, the whole world is experiencing what Chinese cinema went through in the 2010s.
Suddenly, a lot of people can make movies. Everyone wants the prestige of cinema, but not everyone has a story to tell. So every creation is a cheap imitation of a Hollywood product :/
I wrote about my #ADHD diagnosis (and mental health) and how it changed my relationship with gaming for the first time since I got diagnosed 4 years ago, for @mothership.blog

I think I'm improving my photography because I had a roll of film developed and decided nothing in it was worth posting. π
"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.
The invite only period of BlueSky really did feel like one big queer, trans, and furry block party. And it's why some of us did feel a bit defensive when the TwiX exodus started, and we saw peeps coming in declaring the site was 'finally alive'. It had pulsed to its own beat for over a year.
"To my eyes, the people talking about books seem to be having more fun than we are, as we tumble from trailer to release date to layoff news. I take heart at least when I read all the comments and bask in the diversity of what you're all playing and how divorced it is from what's trending."
What if there was a mindful way to drain water from Third World countries, raise global temperatures, increase environmental inequality and subject brown workers to massive psychological suffering?
On an individual level, sure that's fine. But the question being asked was on a general level and you suggested that maybe men are off put by the volume of choices as if women don't face them too.
Some chucklehead in the replies said it's a discoverability problem, what with 2,000 books published every Tuesday. To which I say, "Skill issue." Maybe the mens need to git gud at books because the women are doing fine with 2,000 books every Tuesday.
The women seem to be doing fine, so I say to the men who aren't reading novels: "Skill issue."
*attenborough voice* the rapacious financial backers of the live-service video game, frustrated by the fledgling's inability to interest 100,000s of players immediately post-launch, turns quickly against its own young. the market is a harsh and unforgiving environment, layoffs an inevitable outcome
"Is it possible to learn this power?" Kidding aside, does anybody manufacture a modern equivalent of "Just Plays Music / Media" devices or is that really a dead product vector in the year of our lord 2026?
I keep telling my partner that what I really want for my birthday or Christmas is a dumb media player with no modern smart functions, like a Creative Zen or Muvo or anything. I just don't want to do the research and shopping, that's the part which would make it a present.
Fuck yeeeeeeaaahhhh, I was thinking of going back to Soulseek. Good memories of my thirties just sharing and finding Japanese indie rock oooooool
Those of us who know @paolojcruz.neocities.org know what a music freak he is, a real "I'm not like other audiophiles" mf (complimentary).
It's totally up and I have one friend who still uses it long after most of us in our peer group stopped. In fact his last scrobble was... ten minutes ago.
That's the kind of motherfucker that puts the cat on a vegan diet and then the cat just drops dead and they're like I did nothing wrong
It's like they say, "buy the change you want to see in the world."
*touches ear* I'm receiving a note from my producer that that is not how the saying goes.
