On the positive side of things, the tech for BEV trains with mega-watt charging at stations is becoming more & more developed, so we wouldn't even necessarily need full lines electrification.

Yeah, even the original model 3 from 2017 remains great. I'd totally pick one up second hand if I were in the market for a car honestly.

Guys it turns out I'm not a climate voter because I want a habitable planet, it's because I want more jobs in the public sector!

(I'm guessing the broader point is 'It's easier to make that vote when you're not a coal miner' but fucking hell they express this ham-handedly).
