Good luck! Wear armor!
I'm so excited to read the conclusion!
I'm going to self-publish a collection of my SFF short stories/novelettes/novellas. Stay tuned!
From "The First 27":
Hey, Iβm Tasha. Iβm new here. I returned two months and three days ago. I have two twin eight-year-old girls who want to play with mommy all the time now that sheβs not dead anymore. Some days I want to find their real mommy so I can stop babysitting these β¦doppelgangers.
I submitted a science fiction short story to Space and Time magazine over a year ago. It eventually became a finalist. Now the magazine is restructuring and only publishing themed 1000 word flash fiction and themed poetry, so I now must submit my story to another venue. Suggestions? No MRM please.
Received 5 copies of the SauΓΊti Terrors anthology!
My poem "Sound healing" is on pp. 332-337.
Congratulations, Michael!!
My horror movie preview idea: "Glamour"
Scene:
It's late afternoon on a city street
"Get out of your car!" yells a masked ICE officer, pulling on the door handle. Two other ICE behind him.
The woman inside smiles and says, "This neighborhood is guarded."
"What?"
Roar, agent screams, blood splatter
Truth! I would add:
(1) Some ICE agents get arrested and sentenced to state time (no pardon) to send a message.
(2) The Minnesota Gun Club sues ICE and the DHS for violating Pretti's Second Amendment Rights.
(3) White folks hire armed security to keep ICE out of their neighborhoods.
Happy to have my poem "Sound healing" in this anthology!

It's a true period piece for the 1960s (when I was a kid).
I recommend Godfather of Harlem. A very smart real Black crime lord, Bumpy Johnson,
who in actual history turns the tables on the Italian mob and lives out his days not in prison.
Well, I'm thankful for your Herculean efforts because I love the prose that is the result.
I set up a copper electroplating a key experiment as a hands-on STEM activity for students at Baker Middle School students, and I realized that I never got to do fun, practical stuff like this in college. Why did they avoid the useful, interesting experiments?
As SpecPoVerse is starting its second year of publication, I encourage folks to donate to keep it going. The zine is sustained by my side gig, and all the money I make is paid to poets and to keep the website around. Any amount helps. Thank you for your support!

I am working on making SpecPoVerse a 501c3 non-profit for 2026.
@acadialogue.bsky.social So, how would I get a travel fellowship to visit you at your university, perhaps to co-facilitate a cross-cultural speculative poetry workshop or other interesting venture?
I received the wonderful news today that my scifaiku won Second Place in the 2025 Halloween Haiku Challenge.

I like to think about interstellar encounters with non-human sentients and advanced, god-like beings beyond the common SF tropes. I think that these interactions may be so outside of normal experience that we'd label them surreal, which is how I came upon the name Surrealia for the sentient planet.
I am proud to announce that my science fiction novel-in-verse, Surrealia, won Second Place in the.2025 Elgin Awards for Best Full-Length Speculative Poetry Book!
Thank you!
SpecPoVerse has recordings of poets readings their poems from Vol. 1, Issues 1 and 2 (more coming for Issue 2).
The tonal nuances, the rhythm, and the emotional coloring transform and elevate the poems.

My poem "Sound healing" is being published in the Sauuti Terrors anthology, pre-orders available at $26.99 for 1/20/2026 launch. The Sauutiverse is an Africancentric cosmology with sound-based magic mixed with science in a solar system with five planets.
