It shouldn't get lost that just today, Senate Republicans have voted to close nursing homes, close rural hospitals, and cut food stamp benefits for children and veterans.
Are we great yet?

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

I grew up believing that we had learned the lessons of the German poem and Martin Luther King Jr's speeches. We would all speak out if we saw democracy threatened and the rule of law under attack.
I will always speak out against wrong. I will always stand up for democracy. I will not back down.
Page One must have been crowded.
So NYT puts it on Page 13. π€‘

In space, Venus flanks Earth on the left, with a hellfire greenhouse effect. Mars on the right, which long ago had running water. Today, it's bone dry. Something bad happened on each planet.
Seems like the wrong time to limit the Nationβs capacity to conduct climate research.
Even *if* you accept Stephen Millerβs (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, youβd *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented.
His argument fails even on its own terms.
Rubio publicly criticizing an ally for cracking down on right-wing extremism. And Germany hitting back. We are in a new world
And we thought the 100-day poll numbers were bad for Trump and his Republican Party! π

See this is what I mean. Mississippi is a state with a 40% Black population. African American candidate Mike Espy garnered nearly 45% of the vote in the 2020 General Election for the U.S. Senate.
Why isnβt there a 10 yr Dem plan for organizing Mississippi? Why concede the state w/a 40% Black pop?
Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but thatβs just me
Excellent question!

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison.
It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.
Trump is breaking the law. How is that not in the headline?
