The claims from US DoD are that the decline doesn't reflect expended salvos or destroyed stockpiles or destroyed production capacity. They're claiming it's due to destroyed launching capacity. They're saying Iran has massive stocks of missiles they can't use because of air control.

Anyone wishing the Trump administration would give a good legal basis for the war to at least wink at the idea that they cared about such things... the new Homeland Security Secretary makes it clear that such people would be looking for competence in the wrong place.

Incredibly Kristi Noem was fired not for any of the reasons you'd think - not even for giving a $100m advertising contract to a mate(?) without a competitive tender.
No. Her real sin was that when she was grilled about that corrupt contract, she throw Trump under the bus by saying he knew about it.

I used a double negative, so itβs a bit confusing. I meant that unemployment is a problem in China, but not really elsewhere. In the US, unemployment is just 4.3%. Thatβs full employment. Thereβs no reason to cause a war to generate more employment - it will only cause more inflation.

War in the Middle East raises petrol & gas prices & lowers trade, which raises the cost of everything. Inflation & interest rates will go up.
Nowhere except China has an unemployment problem. Everywhere except China has inflation problem.
This is war economy is terrible politics.

When it comes to learning, effort *is* the algorithm.
AI can be useful, but not if it substitutes for effort. In tbt case, youβre not learning at all. Great if you already know stuff & just want speed - not great if youβre trying to prepare for the future.

It was just a few weeks ago when the Islamic Republic murdered tens of thousands of Iranians.
I hope youβre not suggesting that theyβre *not* the villain

The only countries even nominally supporting Iran are Russia, China & Pakistan.
Most countries are either condemning Iran or condemning both.
Canada, Australia & Ukraine have supported the US/Israel.

Weβre not profiting all that much from Trump. His chaos is driving up inflation & interest rates, driving up the cost of trade, & making the energy transition even harder than it was.

Definitely a possible outcome. Iβm kind of assume the βboard of peaceβ will end up being the vehicle, which implies major corruption at least.

Maybe, but the very last people Iβd trust to protect the interests of Iranians are the ayatollahs.
They murdered what, 30,000? 50,000 of them just a couple of weeks ago?
Major uncertainty vs certain devastation - I wouldnβt rush to condemn uncertainty, especially if it makes a good outcome harder

Panic in the streets, but relief for some: The mood in Iran
Witnesses say that loud cheers echoed across parts of Tehran and residents took to their windows to applaud and play celebratory music after reports of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khameneiβs ...
Both fear & celebrations across Iran today, people calling it the best day of their life. No doubt especially true for women & LGBT
People rushing to condemn should consider standing with Iranians, not one of the worldβs most murderous & repressive terrorist empires

I have very little care for the rights of ISIS brides, but Australians have the right to hold them to justice. We canβt do that if theyβre not here.

Australians back hit to capital gains and negative gearing to pay for tax cuts
Australians believe Jim Chalmers should cut government spending and deliver tax cuts with changes to capital gains tax high on their hit list.
Australians apparently want to slash foreign aid.
I doubt many know that we only spend $5 billion on foreign aid. $2.2 goes to the Pacific & $1.3 to Southeast Asia. That's all critical for our national security.
Most of the rest goes to South & Central Asia.
