This is my sister’s 18 year old cat. He hasn’t been feeling too great lately, and we are all hoping for the best for this little tater tot.

There’s a music venue in central Indiana that the vast majority of locals call by its name…four or more sponsorships ago.

It’s very difficult for me to imagine people pulling a fast switch on the Gulf of Mexico especially.

The book Between Two Kingdoms

This weekend, I started and finished reading Between Two Kingdoms. Even if you have never experienced serious health issues, this book has a lot of takeaways and relevance. It’s a gentle invite to explore grief, life changes, and finding yourself.

Or at least it was for me.

Vegetable soup

In my ongoing effort to find small but entertaining new things to do, I downloaded Too Good To Go. Today I picked up a pack of gourmet hot dogs and Mac n cheese from a local artisan meat market.

I am constantly annoyed by the fact that weight lifting actually does help my brain space. There’s usually a specific point during a workout where things break to a positive vibe.

It might also be because I use the gym as “do whatever I want” time and have no set regime of machines or reps.

For one tiny moment I liked him more because of the Z Pain stuff. And now I like him and all related products substantially less than ever.

I love when this goofy dog headbutts my shoulder to fall asleep on it.

Not watching anything but I’m reading Between Two Kingdoms. I’m about 1/3 of the way through and really liking it.

Well now that TikTok is gone, I guess I will go to the gym more and work on my ass since my own gov KEEPS BEING A PAIN IN IT.

There’s a bakery near me, Cafe Babette in Indianapolis, that made a pavlova cupcake so good I almost cried.

On the bright side, tomato season is coming 🥹. I will once again say I’m only going to plant one or two cherry tomato plants but actually plant five and later gasp at how many tomatoes are ripe at once and wonder who did this and how they got out of control.

Basically I just try to throw any positive affirmation party at myself prior to it that I can. “You look great” “this will be so fun” “it will be nice to get out and move, get some fresh air” and stuff like that. And immediately congratulate myself when I get there with an internal “AHHH SUCCESS!!”

Might be goofy but if it’s a music event I do some silly dancing before and note how fun it will be to get in the music. I comfort myself by saying I can leave if I’m not having fun (not every music event is good). No matter what I’m wearing I use some “get it girl” commentary in the mirror 🤣

I’ve started to enjoy it more, but I definitely have to give myself a lot of hype to get out the door and go. But I have so much fun once I’m somewhere I wanted to go! Missing out on good events sucks tho, so I don’t wanna wait for others either.

Built Puff protein bars are the textural equivalent to a Russel Stover marshmallow egg from a year ago, and I don’t see why there’s as much hype around these as there is.

Barebells bars FOR LIFE.

As much as I hate to admit it, pushing heavy weights with my legs actually does put me in a better headspace.
