On March 27th, we installed a state-of-the-art naneos particle solutions lung-depositable surface area (LDSA) monitor for ultrafine particles and a NILU ammonia (NH3) passive sampler at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, completing our monitoring network rollout across Berlin 🛬
The 2nd Net4Cities Consortium Meeting in Berlin brought partners together for two productive days. We advanced work on pollutant monitoring, data infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement — despite strikes, demos, and tech glitches. Many thanks to all, and to @vdivde-it.bsky.social for hosting!
A key milestone: the first coordinated VOC and GHG sampling at traffic hotspots in 11 European cities, supported by Forschungszentrum Jülich @fz-juelich.de. This monthly campaign will provide valuable data to better understand traffic-related emissions across Europe.
