Absolutely, tokenism. Almost every woman that I know that works in academia has belonged to an EDI committee at some point. I am tempted to join one now in my first year as an academic. This takes from precious research time!
What a fantastic experience going to the collaborate to innovate meeting in Westwood Hall in Leeds. It bought together clinicians and academics from multiple disciplines to put our brains together and share ideas tackling healthcare challenges. #CollaborateToInnovate

As an undergrad, I tried to autoclave cell media to make sure it wasn't infected. The bottle wasn't autoclavable, the media wasn't autoclavable, there were so many things wrong with what I wanted to do... it all melted down.
