Avis car rental customer service message stating they do not have customer service
I have been trying for an hour at the service desk to get my reserved Avis rental. Even their online system owns their ineptitude. Theyβre not even trying. Avis sucks.

Traveling back down to Washington today.
Even though Republican Speaker Mike Johnson isnβt having votes in Washington, I'm showing up and ready to work with anyone to end this shutdown, get federal workers paid and back on the job, and stop healthcare costs from spiraling out of control.

Two measures of music in common time on perpetual repeat. Quarter note equals 80. Three voices needed. Children's choir, which screams any sound they want on the first beat, sforzando. And then silent. Ar -15 which keeps a steady, nonstop beat. And Congress, which is always silent
A little ditty I wrote

If Jesus had focused more on kitchen table issues and less on unpopular outcasts like lepers and prostitutes, he might have won more support from white working-class Judeans.

Pittsburgh fights looming transit cuts
Pittsburgh may slash 41 bus routes, raise fares and halt airport service if the state doesn't fund transit.
Pittsburgh could lose 35% of public transit service if state doesn't come through with hundreds of millions in funding. Local employers like Duolingo, Giant Eagle, and AHN spoke at a hearing about how transit is essential to them and advocated for funding www.axios.com/local/pittsb...

I reported on economics full-time in 2020. It taught me there are no incentives to have a baby in the US. Women in the US have to pay for pre-natal, medical and child care, earn less, do most of the parenting and chores, get promoted less, and are now at 27% higher risk of maternal mortality.

Trump Administration Plans to Freeze Family-Planning Grants β The Wall Street Journal
Tens of millions of dollars in federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other groups would be cut off while the administration examines their DEI efforts
Weak language is acceptance and normalization of nonsensical policy. Define such efforts specifically - OR - report clearly that funding is blocked for purposes the feds have failed to define: ββ¦ investigates whether the money was used for diversity effortsβ @wsj.com

How does PRT benefit the economy? Over the past 5 years alone, PRT has invested nearly $2 billion across PA, including $1.6 billion in Allegheny county.
Despite increasing costs in providing an integral service, PRT has not seen an increase in the state share of its budget in more than a decade. Transit is crucial to our economy and our environment in Allegheny County. #FundTransit
