I think the blurring of boundary b/w reality & simulation leads to exactly this: pple inured to all sorts of horrors (even calling some entertainment) in film & video games, getting ‘pumped’ on the thrill of such games for years, & losing the ability to appraise the real cost of such horror.

Netflix deal was financially solid & would have grown the brand.
This is bad for Warner Archive or anything niche under WB. Several productions and projects are going to collapse and die because of Ellison’s budget cuts. This is a red alert situation.

Luckily, this merger will have to pass regulators both here and internationally. The odds of it passing regulators in other countries isn't especially high.
And it will take well over a year, maybe 2 years. Disney acquiring Fox took 15 months to complete, and Microsoft acquiring Activision took 21.

We can’t eat bullets, and I have a feeling our military is spread a little too thin - before considering the aircraft carrier drowning in shit.
This idea that America is “exceptional” or better than every other country and that we can exploit the rest of the world are coming to an end.
We starve Americans to buy stuff for the military that they DO NOT EVEN WANT.
Fact is, various party factions are so determined to have their choice of candidate - most take their ball & go home once their person isn’t the nominee. It can be seen in explicit posts - the initial goading, the desperate threats. For all the diversity in membership, there’s also tons of toxicity.
