We are a grassroots group of residents in Huntington Beach, CA, battling an extremist City Council that wants to ban books at our public library. They have also explored privatization of our library.

Huntington Beach’s book banning city council was finally forced to dismantle their restricted youth area in the public library, thanks to community advocacy and California law! 📚📚📚📚📚
BREAKING: Book banning extremist group “Moms For Liberty” LOST ALL 31 of their races.
Moms for Liberty is now 0-59 in contested school board races since 2023.
This is what happens when communities have had enough and say NO to book bans!
So puberty and potty training books will continue to remain on the 4th floor in the adult restricted area until the state sues our city and wins. Our city council keeps losing in court and taxpayers are left with the bill. 😩

A great day in court! We prevailed on all issues. The judge ruled against the city on everything! HB’s attempt to ban books in our public library has been thwarted.📚📚📚
When our MAGA city council restricts our freedom to read freely, we fight back in court and at the ballot box!
As of this week, these books are still restricted from teens and others at our public library by our city—even though HB citizens voted decisively in June to stop censorship.Plus the new California law prevents these restrictions. 😡

Even after HB voters delivered an electoral mandate against censorship, HB continues to make many books inaccessible to patrons. One is an adult book, Call Me By Your Name, which was made into an Academy Award-winning movie. This violates California's new Freedom to Read law.

A clear and decisive win for Measures A and B! Voters don’t want a book review board or privatization. Our library is fine the way it is!
This awful sign was posted this morning near schools and not far from resort hotels by the Vote no team. VOTE YES on A and B by June 10 to protect our library from these extremist forces!
Patrons explain why HB library should not have a politically charged review board picking books for our families. Save our library—Vote Yes!
A great video on what books HB kids are choosing at our library —and it’s not porn!
calmatters.org/politics/202... The election is in 2 weeks. Vote YES to save well-loved public library. It's not about the books. It's about control from right-wing politicians.
Help draw the line on book bans in Huntington Beach, California.
