The best thing you personally can do for this country is resign.
You are disastrously mismatched to this moment and your efforts to let others in your caucus take the fall are transparent. Every elected Democrat who backs you as leader must be primaried.
When the one thought in your rotting-pumpkin head is 'No, I AM the best boy,' that thought is always there to fire the next impulse and that probably does make it much easier to move forward. I think there's probably an important lesson here for all of us about the power of a singular focus.
