Proofs day! I look at the literary presentation of the royal court in 1 Esdras and argue that one of the functions of the Story of the Three Bodyguards in 1Esd 3-4 is to discuss the extent and limits of royal power (and how Zerubbabel uses this to advance the temple rebuilding). Forthcoming in JHS!

Stülpt außerdem einem sehr vieldeutigen Begriff eine sehr spezifische christliche Deutung über. Außerdem wird ruach so gut wie nie personal verstanden (wobei das vielleicht für einige wieder attraktiv ist - aber halt nicht trinitarisch).
Es ist halt literarisch die Zentrale für Weltanschauungsfragen. Man würde fast vermuten dass gerade diesen die Problematik nicht ganz unbekannt sein dürfte.

Da spielt es dann auch keine Rolle, dass sich Kirk u.a. auf Texte wie Eph 6,10-20 beziehen: Natürlich sind die problematischen Stellen alle im AT
Doch müsste es bibeltreuen Christen nicht aufstoßen, wenn ein Präsident im klaren Widerspruch zum Neuen Testament sagt, er hasse seine Feinde? „Vertritt man ein flächiges Bibelverständnis, nimmt also jedes einzelne Wort der Bibel als direktes Wort Gottes – dann findet man zu jedem Jesus-Wort über Barmherzigkeit oder Feindesliebe eine Bibelstelle im Alten Testament, die das widerlegt“, sagt der Theologe Fritz. Auch Trumps Verhalten gegenüber Frauen, sein Verhältnis zur Wahrheit und seine zahlreichen Prozesse hätten seine christliche Fanbasis bislang nicht gestört. „Diese Widersprüche löst man innerhalb dieser Community auf, indem man sagt: Gott gebraucht eben auch fehlbare Menschen für sein Werk.“
Mal nebenbei keine problematischen Stereotype über das AT reproduzieren - für die evangelische Zentrale für Weltanschauungsfragen ein unmögliches Unterfangen.
