4/ PRAP must also be explicitly aligned with the latest recommendations from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

3/ We’re calling for a Child Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA) to be carried out on PRAP to ensure it aligns with children’s rights under the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child.

2/ Black and other racialised children continue to face harmful and discriminatory policing practices—over-policing, use of force, strip searches, and being held overnight in custody. These issues are a violation of children’s rights.

Article 31 of the UNCRC protects a child's rights to play but England is falling behind, with no strategy, no protections & fewer safe places to play.

"Child-centred" laws must include children's rights.
