So today, I’m introducing a bill to make Direct File the law of the land. And 160 members of Congress are joining me.

It’s amazing to think about the years of learning about Christian martyrs who put their lives on the line, wearing WWJD bracelets, reading Matthew 25. But then seeing that people would pray but do nothing else. Jesus didn’t say “I was hungry and you prayed for me.”

My old church in Eden Prairie MN, Wooddale, blocked me on IG because I asked how they were supporting their community where people are being terrorized by ICE. I’m honestly not surprised, because that kind of behavior is why I stopped going there in the first place!

I’ve seen zero mention of the people being abused and abducted in their own communities. There’s mention of “unrest” but never specifics. Just continue filing this under “spiritual battles,” come to prayer meetings, but don’t consider how you might help your neighbors. It’s so purely Evangelical.

So apparently all the big Evangelical mega churches around the Twin Cities have started this thing where they’re praying at 7:14 because of the 2 Chronicles 7:14. That’s one that shows up heavily in Christian Nationalist circles. But notice how much they focusing on staying in and praying.

Yeah, I feel this way about all my coworkers who said I was overreacting when I said they were going to purge queer people from the government. Then I got investigated for being queer basically and all my trans friends got fired. I ended up leaving my 14 year federal career.
