At this point, we've been hearing about a KOTOR remake for something like 10+ years. I really don't care anymore. It's not like it's Starcraft: Ghost or something, where it sounded promising but we didn't get to play it.
It's because he has a big shitty rash on the back of his neck and they need the hat to hide it.
Plus, if he wears a hat, no one will be writing headlines about the dead soldiers. It'll all be about the hat.
New readers, and 'not-good' readers tend to prefer first person, as it's easier for them to put themselves into the scene. Probably getting this kinda comment from people who don't read many books.
Not to excuse it, mind you. That's super rude.
The sun is getting an hour farther away tonight, what?
A very fuzzy torbie kitty relaxes in a box on a shelf in a window, next to a lovely purple book, The Lion.
Seeing this is the final day of Smashword's "Read an ebook" sale, I should probably mention that my Speaker Timeline books are 25% off there this week -- and have been for a few days.
So anyway here's a picture of my cat.
Huzzah, marketing.

I'm always conflicted when awful people like pictures of my cat on Facebook.

Is it not bad enough that everyone continues to slobber over all of this earth-incinerating AI nonsense, but do we also need to be burning our resources and federal funding on AI coaches for video games?

I just rage quit a game I'm not the one playing.
Confession: any time I say "Hello there," with any slightly quirky twist, I am not referencing Star Wars, I am paying homage to Edgar Wright in Hot Fuzz.
Ah, the famous Archie comic where Reggie brings over his special brownies.
The fact that I broke my shovel trying to pull it from the snow has made me suspiciously doleful. I feel like I've failed my Canadian Excaliburing.

boo. boo snow.
maybe it's just obvious common sense to people who aren't me, but one of the most valuable things I've learned about writing over the past 6 years is that there is NO reliable relationship between how good *I* think a story is, whether *editors* like/accept it, and how hard it hits with *readers*
The best part of burritos is when someone else makes them.
Yeah, not just young but bought in, and seeming like they love being there. Not the sorta situation you want to throw a crusty headcase into.
When I'm out shoveling the driveway now, I can hear the neighbors but I can't see them anymore, like ghosts busy haunting their own tunnels and minding their own business.
Underrated concern, for sure. Feels like he'd sour the vibe.
IIRC, it's only the games part of of Sony that's making money at the moment. Everything else is tanking. But from what I hear, the leadership of Sony is so old-minded that they keep making decisions based on 1990s business logic.
It's almost like going to war "because lol" is a bad idea.
A photograph, in burnt-orange colour tones, of a maple leaf with a heart-shaped hole forms the background of a rectangular image. 19 book covers are arranged in two rows across the bottom. White text at the top reads "Hidden Gems! 19 books by Canadian authors you may never have heard of (but will totally wonder how your bookshelves lived without!) It also provides the date of the promo: March 1st to 15th, only on Itchi.io. The books involved are as follows: The Lion The Erstwhile Tyler Kyle The Dragon Next Door River of Crows Hope is the Thing with Feathers The Clockwork Empire Flesh and Bone Goblin Girl Moonshadow's Guardian Your Blood and Bones Winner Takes All The Flaws of Gravity Scrap Metal Angel Destined to be Normal Clipped Bloody Spade Baker Thief Path of the Warrior Prince Ewald the Brave
In Canada, over 200 authors a year are dismembered by yetis. For only $19, you can help a Canadian author afford the yeti nets & front-porch protections that helps guard against this daily threat. In thanks, you will receive these 19 quality books.

To be honest, I don't get what the big deal about the guy is. Willing to be convinced.
Unfolds like an early-80s sex (pest) comedy where the zany nerds are doing a panty raid, but instead of coming for your drawers, they're coming for your drawer books.
Comic panel of a fella standing on a barren landscape, arms akimbo, saying "This is a fine place to have a nervous breakdown."
He doesn't know how anything works, makes bad assumptions, gets lost constantly, and is ignoring all the items...
And I'm like...
