The sounds our entire row made whenever Jonathan Bailey was on screen... Feral and shameful. #Wicked
I'm sitting in a theater in Columbus, completely packed an hour before showtime, preshow entertainment and trivia and discussion; there are costumes, and themed drinks and the room is buzzing. It truly feels like Potter in its heyday. I've missed this unironic enthusiasm dearly.
Additionally, I hope they keep that weird, wobbly synth sound in the background of some songs. That and the aggressive high-hat are the two defining sounds of Wicked for me.
What do we think the solution was for the curved tower? Just a more intentional, centered shot? I did they compensate for the curve somehow?
I agree with this so much! What's the point of having a streaming service AND making exclusive content for that service if you don't use it to showcase your 100-year history of work and the exclusive stuff disappears after a few years?
When Disney+ was first announced, I was so excited at the thought of being able to drown in vintage Disney media like the Disneyland TV show, shorts, and movies that werenβt available.
Itβs been pretty much a huge disappointment, and the stuff I DO like disappears, like Prop Culture smh
The very best riddance.
One of the things I've looked forward to most from the Wicked films are the expanded orchestrations and background music on the soundtrack. I hope that they give us film score nerds a complete recording in addition to the usual vocal tracks!

Thereβs a special kind of magic that pervades the air of #Disneyland as night falls, and the Magic Kingdom seems to glow on its own. Then sparkling lights fill the sky and illuminate the park in wonderful color!
These cabinet appointments are fucking bonkers. Truly the worst of the worst.
It's not the term we want, but it's probably the one we deserve.
Oh hey Bluesky. What do we call posts here? Tweets? Clouds?
