That was an interesting time when record labels were experimenting with formats, realising a 12 inch single was something people would buy. So many of the remixes were just extended versions rather than a Shep Pettibone remix (as a pause button remixer myself, I loved some of their remixes).

First results from the 24/25 Free School Meals secondary policy change in Brighton & Hove are in! 95 children from lower-income families have secured places at schools outside their catchment areas - proof our campaign for more school choice is working.

Some classic food snobbery on Radio 4 this morning. Sniggering about people eating tinned foods. To be expected when you know the stats on the kinds of people working at the BBC.
For those that don’t know much about @divideclass.bsky.social this series went on to inspire the local authority to make changes to the schools admission process. The change prioritises children on free school meals in secondary school admissions, to lessen socioeconomic segregation across Brighton.
