After seeing a Ro GLP-1 ad at literally every ad break while binging True Blood, it took 1.5 episodes of Parts Unknown before I saw a single GLP-1 ad. And that ad didn’t mention weight loss at all. In case you wonder what advertisers think of the respective audience for each show. 😆

Having one of those restless nights where absolutely nothing seems appealing. Don’t want to read my book. Don’t want to keep watching True Blood. Don’t want to watch anything else. Don’t want to go anywhere. Too early for bed.

This is good. It’s no secret how I feel about online sports betting & my conviction we’ll have an opioid-epidemic-sized gambling problem in a few years.

But I appreciate how it highlights how BORING sports bettors are, always talking about spreads and the over and barely caring about sports at all

They’ll be like “Oh, yeah…well the Royal Opera always sells out” And I just looked it up and their next run is 6 shows & the Royal Opera House seats a little under 2300. That’s 13,800 seats for a city of 9+ million. If they can’t sell that then they’ve got way bigger problems than Chalamet.

Finished Project Hail Mary last night. I’m happy to report I was absolutely wrong & the book took me several unanticipated places. I did not see the ending coming at all, but it was…no spoilers. 😏

If you like or are even agnostic about Sci Fi, you should read it. It’s lovely.

Huh. Just heard about a study showing that suppressing emotion can interfere forming memories. And as a high anxiety, highly sensitive Gen X-er who was very emotional when young and was pretty much told to just suck it up, that might explain why I don’t have all that many childhood memories. 🤔

I was once in a storm that had hail about that size & it put a hole on my windshield, stripped paint from the sides & made dents so big I had to replace the entire hood & roof. Car was never the same again. I had only had it 4 months at the time. 😫
