Yeah the extent to which a lot of people think AI is like the second coming of christ that's going to revolutionize the world is nuts. And like tbh it IS revolutionizing the world but 90% of it is in a bad way 🙃

Like I think I could honestly be fine with LIMITED and RATIONAL use of AI in MODERATION in CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES, it's not like it's a technology with absolutely 0 legitimate use cases, but the way it's being shoved down our throats in absolutely every aspect of our lives IS driving me insane

I do think there's gonna be a crash for sure, and we're all gonna suffer for these companies's stupid ass fucking decisions. But I do think it's likely that LLM-based AI will remain in use to some extent, and tbh I wouldn't even mind that so much as long as it isn't being shoved into EVERYTHINGGGGG

I don’t know how to use chatgpt etc but I imagine it’s going to a website and typing “oh no what groceries do I buy please tell me false god for I am so weak I cannot go on” as your brain atrophies and leaks out of your ears from disuse and the machine is like “buy eggs milk bread and a horse”

Honestly they made Leon too much of a badass in RE9. He's at his best in RE2 when he's a hapless twink running away from Mr X like that guy in that vine who's on a beach sluttily running away from the camera in a speedo like "ooooh no don't eat my ass 🥴" you know what I'm talking about

Thoughts about “AI” Yes it’s: The slop The theft The brainrot The loss of work The crumbling of creator rights The destroying of the environment and infrastructure But it's also the destroying of trust in anything that you’re not seeing with your own eyes right in front of you. Wonder now turned to the narrowing of eyes in immediate scepticism seeing something magical. Questioning the realness of everything from a stilted written apology to profound works by students in school. It feels like a slow poison to creativity and humanity at large. I still think it would be funny to get a billboard somewhere in SF among all the stupid AI billboards that says something like "Re-scringle your trunge-flow with ploob.ai" and when you go to the website it's just a page that says "help us keep making fun of stupid AI billboards, donate to keep this billboard up"
