Excited for warmer temperatures later this week (70Β°F!!) and eventually more views like this. #okwx
Breaking News: The EPA will stop considering lives saved when setting pollution limits and instead calculate only the cost to businesses.
These storms mean business tonight! Our Camargo Mesonet site recorded wind gusts of 99 and 85 mph at the storms passed in the last hour. #okwx #okmesonet
A trend I'm watching like a hawk is Tuesday afternoon for the central Plains
GFS, NAM, and Euro all coming in much more robust with moisture return. This "just in time" moisture can be (as we saw yesterday) quite finnicky for all-hazards potential, however.
Large tornado crossing 42 west of Sumrall
βNear historic fire weather conditionsβ are forecast tomorrow across much of the Southern Plains. Looks like an expansion of Extremely Critical areas northward into the Texas Panhandle, and the inclusion of a dry lightning threat in Missouri and Kansas.

Aaaaaaaand theyβre off!
Probably will march its way towards Cleveland countyβs doorstep by 2-3 am as a nasty squall line. All-hazards threat possible for the OKC metro overnight.
The saga of nocturnal severe weather events continues. Weeeeeeeeeee!
Storms have begun the initiation process along the dryline in western and northwestern OK as the pacific cold front has begun overtaking the dryline. This is occurring a bit sooner than CAMs had predicted, which may mean ETAs closer to 12-1 AM for the OKC metro.
NWS SPC Key Messages for tonightβs severe risk and todayβs extremely critical fire weather risk.
Incredible that our third "most important election of our lifetime" might be the one that nukes weather forecasting back to the 1980s.
It's a miracle of modern science that forecasters can see tornado outbreaks days ahead of time. And we're on the verge of throwing it away because egg prices.
Told the Thunder fans in front of me, with three minutes left in the third, that the Heat would be lucky to break 100 at that point.
I could see Luther, but Squabble Up is probably a good bet. Anything will be good honestlyπ
my daughter left the room for several minutes and came back with this
To whomever devised that coffee creamer tongue commercial:
Chet Holmgren is off the injury report.
Heβs back.
Hey itβs me hereβs some #Milton content.
Thunder improve to 34-6.
Tied with Cavs for best record in the NBA.
4th straight win.
Won 19 of last 20.
15-1 vs the East.
19-2 at home.
Next up: Mavs in Dallas in 22 hours.
Shai is the first player in Thunder history to score 40+ points in less than 30 minutes.
An organization that had Kevin Durant, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, etc. and this is the first time. Let that sink in.
π°Breaking News : the University of Oklahoma School of Meteorology is hiring a tenure-track assistant professor in social and/or behavior sciences applied to weather and climate studies! Come work with us! apply.interfolio.com/158935
Loud ovation for Isaiah Hartenstein as he checks into his first regular season game.
JDub gets blitzed up top, Hartenstein shows, probes the defense & hits Caruso in the dunkers spot.
Heβs completely changed the game on both ends since checking in.
So many injuries, but still had opportunities to win. Seemed like the energy was off and they just couldnβt maintain the momentum. Would have loved to have at least a couple of guys back for this game but hopefully we get to see that sooner rather than later!
November 18th, 1998:
Dr. T. Theodore Fujita died at the age of 78.
Dr. Fujita was a Japanese-American meteorologist whose research primarily focused on severe weather. His research and achievements in Meteorology increased our knowledge of severe storms and will have a lasting impact on this field.
