I think ZA takes a ton of steps backwards. Size of the wild areas, soundtrack size, model animations, writing, I even think the story is worse. Itโs becoming a meme on my channel with how disappointed in it I was. Only improvement is the combat although I donโt exactly play pokemon for that reason
We desperately desperately need competition in this industry, because the pokemon IP wants a monopoly over it and itโs degrading the quality of it. Even pokemon fans know that games like this would force pokemonโs affiliates to keep quality standards that theyโve been wanting to drop

I just think the game was really pretty, a lot prettier than ZA, and the comp was pretty fun and it performed pretty well. I miss little slice of life shit like pokemon doing idle animations last seen in swsh or legends arceus
