I see many achieving engagement through the path of controversial or triggering posts that the algo makes viral. But is it the way?

Shouldn't we be all trying to create a supportive environment?

Post launch timeline:

week 1: launch excitement: refreshing Amazon every hour

week 2: where are the reviews? why isn't anyone buying? maybe my book sucks

week 3: oh the reviews, maybe my book doesn't completely sucks, still nobody buying it

Thanks to ARC and 10 days of bad marketing I've got 11 reviews (1 just stars) on Goodreads.
Sweet.
And then Amazon reviews are scattered between the different marketplaces so I've like 3 here, 2 there, 1 over there and WTF Amazon why can't you gather all them together? 😩

For me the best hook isn't only about great prose, more on creating a question in the reader's mind, who find the answer after like 50, not at page 1.

I like to give (and have as a reader) a reason to keep going, an unanswered question in the back of my head

In two weeks my book will be out.
I was working on another WIP when something I witnessed gave me the urge to write about psychological exhaustion and pain when you somehow must find the strength to go on.
I've no idea if it'll go well.
But to me its launch will be a sort of vent.
