Used it today for a legal document. π
Just a couple of weeks ago I was trying to think of non-evil uses for AI, and I thought, "well Grammarly just checks your grammar, that's not too bad, right?"
lesson learned I guess.
βSnopes was unable to confirm or deny any other aspect of the rumor, so we've left this claim unrated.β

The legacy of the 20th century's greatest Bond villain, Robert Maxwell.
No worries, I hope you like it.
You might be interested in Roberto Calasso's Ardor. He looks at the ritual apparatus of Vedic sacrifice as a way of publicly dealing with the guilt of killing animals. It's extremely well-grounded and beautifully put together.
I keep looking at these quotes and thinking it can't be real then you know what, it always is.
it's also on Internet Archive!
Screenshot from Guardian article: In 2018 Hegsethβs mother, Penelope, sent him an email that said: βYou are an abuser of women β that is the ugly truth and I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego. You are that man (and have been for years) and as your mother, it pains me and embarrasses me to say that, but it is the sad, sad truth.β
There is a connection. Patriarchal beliefs and institutions attract insecure men (βbabiesβ according to his mother) who revel in subjugating the weak. Whether in secular or religious life, those who side with top-down patriarchy and against equality for women are enabling men like this.
Will people stop using AI because of this? Is there a red line? Is there any ethical standard, anything at all, that would be enough for people to simply say no to AI?
Hey thanks for this. Trying to do evil is itself evil, even if you don't succeed.
Good news, I'm on my way back from nan Tien institute in Wollongong, where this is the basic philosophy everyone agrees on.
Thanks dan, I learnt from your thread. How about this:
Christofascists teaming up with Judeofascists to wipe out Islamofascists.
gotta murder the *right* people
A Christofascist theocracy teaming up with a Judeofascist theocracy to wipe out an Islamofascist theocracy.
Consciousness is the organic property of awareness that grows in relationship with sense contact, perception, intentionality, and other mental and physical dimensions of the dynamic, sensitive network that we call a person.
My guess: it's being run directly by the Russian mob. They're well established by now, enjoy Trump's protection, and avoid loose canons like Epstein. Drop the middle man, ship girls straight to clients.

I had an apparently intelligent person tell me that no-one knew how semiconductors came to be and it was, in fact aliens. I managed to refute their argument through the sophisticated means of getting them to read the Wikipedia page.
Well it's arguable!
I dunno if this helps, but the Buddha talked of consciousness as a "seed" that is "planted" and "grows". π
