It certainly did this time. Seen a few tonight and another leapt out in front of us on the bikes the other day. Beautiful. π
Appreciation for Jβs driving skills right now in the middle of this night, in the middle of nowhere, on a dark and desolate mountain road thick with ice.
Thank you! π€

4:06am, in a beautiful pea-green boat.
Moody day on the loch has gifted our tired legs a rest day and my latest chapter a rogue little twist. Must be something in the water.

After sleeping on a burn all week itβs going to take some mighty adjustment going from flowing water outside my bedroom window back to the sound of tractors, banging and early morning shouting about gas deliveries.
My bike on a boardwalk down to a beach on the east coast of Scotland.
Best stop on the loch. Beat our β24 time on the loop today, despite the pain in places after yesterdayβs hike a bike. Savage ride.

It is, 1000 ft of climbing in less than ten miles. All off road too, more suited to MTB for sure, but so beautiful. Definitely an experience!
My bike looking out to sea in Scotland. A silhouette of a castle can be seen in the distance.
When in Scotland.
Great company on the ferry today.

Just one from the van. Thanks!
The apparition.
Thank you Phil, there wonβt be a long night on the loch this time π
After two long days on the road, little sleep, a weird night and then an encounter with a dancing hitchhiker, there are few eloquent words. But weβre here, back in Scotland and itβs beyond beautiful as always.
A moody black and white photo of Hadrianβs Wall. A single tree can be seen in the near distance.
Somewhere in Cumbria. Zero bags unpacked, base layer somewhere deep in the van, chain dry as dust, but this place is for one night only so we had to do it. Lovely little spin.

It has to arrive soon, surely.
They would be lovely to see Chris π

Something to do with the hour, I think.
