This is exactly what Hegseth meant when he bragged that we “don't fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement."

Asked earlier today whether Americans should be worried about retaliatory attacks at home, Trump said:

“I guess.”

“Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.”

He can’t even pretend to give a single fuck about human life. Truly a conscienceless sociopath.

This sounds like trump declared the current US Regime an imminent threat to the safety and security of the sovereign nation of Cuba. They would be justified to conduct preemptive strikes on Trump, his Southern Whitehouse and his family members – according to recent events.

There is a particular kind of arrogance that only flourishes in men who believe consequences are for other people. We are watching it metastasize in real time.

Within hours of bombing Iran and killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the United States was once again standing in the

DOs and DON’Ts
DO call this out for the evil it is and connect it to other harms of the regime: “From Epstein to ICE to Iran, this regime commits crimes against humanity.”
DON’T talk about this as a “distraction,” as it belittles the horrific human toll. Further, messaging about messaging isn’t persuasive.
DO make clear the horrific human toll: “This regime is killing people for power and profit.”
DO, especially if you are a messenger credible to conflicted Trump voters, emphasize this is a betrayal of what Americans want and need.
DON’T rely on hypocrisy arguments such as “Trump ran promising peace but is dragging us to war.” This credits the previous statement and implies what’s wrong here is inconsistency instead of evil.
DO, when speaking specifically of the lies peddled about Iran’s involvement in the election, remind Americans that “this regime/Trump wants to control the outcome of the election.”
DON’T repeat Trump’s lies about “election fraud” in an earnest effort to rebuff them.
DO call this war “Trump’s war”
DON’T call this war “America’s war” or simply “war.”
DO say “war on Iran”
DON’T say “war with Iran,” which implies a mutual back and forth.

Imagine being so incompetent that you start an illegal war with Iran & this is still on your website. Only Congress can declare war, that power is not granted to convicted criminal felons and drunks by the U.S. Constitution. That power belongs to CONGRESS. 👇 1/2

-Zero Congressional consultation or approval.
-Zero preparation of public for need/consequences of war.
-Zero evidence of thought about "OK, what might the other side do?" Next month. Next year.
-Zero mention of anti-nuke agreement Trump voided, or Trump claim last year that nukes "obliterated."

The people of Minnesota vote for representatives to Congress.

Minnesota Reps. and Sens. were in DC, representing their constituents, when Congress passed laws using proper procedure that allocated Medicaid funding.

The president breaking those laws violates the fundamental compact of the republic.

Nobody could have seen that sort of thing happening, right?

Beth Macy for Congress Beth Macy is running for Congress because Roanoke and the Shenandoah Valleys deserve leaders who tell the truth about our challenges—and fight like hell to fix them.

I just donated to my friend @bethmacy.bsky.social’s run for Congress in Virginia. Been meaning to for awhile. (Sorry for the delay, Beth.) There are no other candidates like her: a real writer (Dopesick, Truevine, Papergirl) & a real reporter. Brave as all get out. bethmacyforcongress.com

I’m willing to bet my tariff refund check that if there are any refunds, it will just go to companies (that passed 95% of the cost to consumers) to line pockets of billionaires.

I also predict that prices will not go down after tariffs are removed. At least not as much as the tariffs increased them
