Exactly it kinda reminds me of how like 20 years of Sakura slander later people are starting to be more positive about her especially since she has completely different characterization in the anime and manga.
This is part of my personal problem with the manga as well. Team 7 were locked in as a family, but we don't see how Sakura or Kakashi feel. What about Team 8 after losing Hinata? Most people that occasionally hype the series up only care about the action 😭
It's kinda where I'm at because realistically we can discuss good writing moments and try to clear up misconceptions, but people have already decided that no matter what the series will suck.
I get that Boruto is a shonen so a lot of people want non-stop action and aura or whatever, but a focus on writing and developing characters, the land of fires political infrastructure, and the otsuki conspiracy is more interesting than non-stop fights and character moments tbh
You're watching Naruto's dream play out exactly how he envisioned it, but over time you start to see the small cracks in that fantasy via Boruto and his friends adventures across the world as you see that not all of the ninja world have adjusted well to that status quo change like the hidden mist.
Like even the anime isn't bad especially when you consider the fact that the series starts off very slice of life as a representation of the era of Peace Naruto ushered in as Hokage. You get to see the fruits of his labor after finally accomplishing his goal of creating peace.
Boruto slander is so silly to me because it's quality isn't that much different from Naruto's writing in the latter half of the series(The parts often glazed into oblivion), but because it's relatively popular to shit on the series people do it.
Questioning everything and using critical thinking while being aware of the state of the world at large is the only way we can collectively have any chance of enacting real change.
I've never understood the desire to create these illusions that prevent you from seeing the truth lying right in front of you. We keep being exploited and manipulated overall because of that reluctance to confront reality.
Really wish people stopped trying to live their lives as blissfully naive and ignorant to reality as possible. At some point you're going to have open your ears and eyes to combat the enemies surrounding us.
