It’s The Shard photographed from below at night. It stands among other skyscrapers. Some of its windows are lit up, others are blacked out. The spires at the top are lot lit up in bright neon red. This is supposed to look festive but instead it basically looks like the Eye of Sauron. It’s giving evil villain lair vibes. It does not help that the red light is reflected in the clouds above, giving the sky an evil looking eerie red glow. Doctor Doom would reject this place as being too on the nose. Magneto would tell them to tone it down a bit. It’s evil in building form.
Very much appreciating Salman Anwar’s photo of The Shard in the UK, which he points out they’ve tried to make festive and instead made look menacingly evil.
I am buying you gingerbread when you next come to England.

Finally scanned this painting I posted a WIP of a while back. Didn't change much but I wanted to keep it loose. The glow effect was made by wiping thin paint over the mushrooms when everything was dry.
