Thatβs what billionaires do to become billionaires - nothing new
How exactly do you see number 3 happening? Agree with everything else
This whole industry is built on packaging and repackaging. It used to be led by builders like BOK, now itβs lead by sales.
Way to go!
Oh wow, didnβt realize that despite the amount of players and all the fragmentation thereβs still a 40% of the market available.
I believe part of the problem is that there are too many platforms. Plus you canβt force people to switch - they need motivation.
LinkedIn has good scale, but then algorithmsβ¦
Bluesky has hit a plateau it seems - not enough credibility.
So the solution is - keep bringing in influencers.
For the price itβs a bargain! π
This is hilarious! π
If most people had critical thinking, advertising wouldnβt work.
Yes exactly, but OTT is just the content distribution mechanism. The essence of it is Streaming.
I'm beyond surprised Youtube is not leading the way - it's impossible to use without a premium subscription anymore.
One of the core principles in statistics says "correlation does not imply causation".
Attribution will always be messy if used in a 1:1 way (and don't get me started on the last click).
Yet, marketers prefer to live in the world of smoke and mirrors, as that's how their efficiency is measured.
An interesting poll from Paul Gubbins on Linkedin. At first I imagined that OTT should stay, given it's used also outside of CTV.

Beautiful!
It is a conflict of interest at least theoretically - letβs see how will they behave in practice.
SKY was trying to do that (not TikTok style tho). Probably Titan OS or TTD OS are aiming for that experience
Canβt even imagine the ad load which comes as a package (+ the amount of data to be shared)
They acquired the audience - now it will be their biggest promotion channel.
The biggest reason people continue using Chrome is all these tabs they will never read, but canβt close because of FOMO.

No way, such a consolidation in video adserving business.
Perplexity + Ads + Stripe = superb shippable search experience.
Itβs a next-gen performance marketing engine, combining search & affiliate marketing (capture intent + push to purchase)
A very pragmatic thought, I fully agree. In the end, all the benefits TTD is outlining are to ensure their own growth, ecosystem is a second priority for them, consumer is only the third.
