Background on the houses: I needed buildings for my open-world game so I used modular assets but I ACCIDENTALLY made a whole MILLION of possible house combinations. (Even more really, but I was too lazy to do the mathπ )
Canβt get over how beautiful the houses for my game turned out. I can now sleep easy knowing that my waterbenders have homes. And you should WISHLIST Twisted Waters to make them even happier!

I found a paper about parcelling and with the help of a very handy PCG plugin (PCGEx, if anyone is interested) I was able to implement it.

I used a technique called parcelling that's typically used in city generation. I got the idea from a map generator.

Improved the house placement and land division into yards. Now my waterbenders can all live hapily in their houses and close to their neighbors.
