Farmer revolts, battle tower, build theaters and temples for points, what a game. Hope it was a good time!
Exactly right
I love starship captains but it's a hard sell for my group so it sits on the shelf a lot too
Sorry puppy, you had already lost as soon as you challenged me #boardgames
I try to be selective about how much detail I give when people ask me about #boardgames. If we're not sitting down and playing, this is about as far as I let it go
Stay spooky out there
Did a little print-at-home project, this is a cool little tuck box!
I see what happened, it's dark text on a dark background for me, I can highlight it and see what they do now
I read through the rules and am excited to play! One part is unclear to me, what do the firefighting cards do when they are discarded? It seems like they may go over the top of cards to prevent the spread of fire, but I'm not confident in that.
That board is awesome. I think games that are obvious takes on another IP can be really cool
Two big name classics I haven't played yet, but keep hearing good things about. Did you have a favorite between them?
That setup looks kind of awesome, both the game and the table+mat combo
Wow! Congrats on an awesome find, must be helping somebody clear out their clutter.
elegance is a word I use a lot when talking about board game rules, how do we get a lot of depth out of few rules? Your tip points in that direction really well
Never lose sight of your roots though
Filling empty space in the rulebook is a #boardgames tradition.
It works out well that Chuck BB's art for the game is so expressive
Played a little board game last night that is packaged not in a box, but a tiny little backpack, awesome.
I learned that game sits in a normal board game box on store shelves, and thought that was a strange decision.
Congrats and have fun!
Slowly but surely!
Working on #boardgames, toying with some different ideas, and stumbled on some Guilty Gear vibes with the "behind the action" lettering. It's fun enough to screenshot, but I'm definitely not sticking with it.
I wonder if there's a chance to reinforce rules with theme. Such as "yellow pieces are the fastest runners in all the land, so they move 3 spaces instead of 2". I suspect the context given by the theme may help some players grasp or remember that rule during play
Okay so rulebooks, there's an opportunity to reinforce the things you want to be immediately apparent about your game, right?
How thematic do you allow your rules to be? How sarcastic? Assuming it reads well, is understood, how far can you really push the creative limits? ๐ฒโ๏ธ
So I started playing around with a rock and roll theme and ended up making something kind of like cooperative Uno. Normally at this point in the process I'm asking myself if it's fun, but this time I'm just rocking out to Led Zeppelin.

I'm probably just insecure, but those kids aren't gonna win without earning it
Ooh, tried out some of the monsters Chuck BB included in a free preview, his art is awesome and eerie www.chuckbb.com/helllordsand...
Playing the #boardgame Dungeon Degenerates and I would describe it as "greasy". Lots of rules referencing, and I feel like I need to wash my hands after. Fun for goofing off with patient friends
Sometimes in Search for Planet X it's better to act with your gut and play theories before you confirm them.
Not this time, I was pretty wrong this time. But sometimes.
#boardgames
I impulse bought freelancers and never regretted it. Have fun!
Extremely disorienting in the best way
