On January 22nd, 1973 The US Supreme Court made a 7-2 decision in the case of Roe v. Wade, stating that the Constitution ensures the legal right to abortions. The right to an abortion was protected for nearly 50 years before it was stripped away in 2022 when the decision was overturned by the court.
