I've had some issues with steam VR. I got it to run okay the other day but it was not a smooth experience. I'll need to fiddle more. What are you using for XR? I got the 3d view to work on the viture but the image was like a postage stamp.
I didn't do anything. Just closed the lid one time and thought "Shit! Linux! I broke it!". Nope. Opened up and logged in and kept going.

I have been having laptop lid closing successes with Pop_OS.
CachyOS on the desktop, Pop_OS on the laptop. Thinking about switching the laptop to PikaOS but probably won't.

Our 8088 was a Tandy 1000 with dual 5 1/4 floppy drives. That one became mine when we built Dad's 286. I ended up getting handed down to my cousin. No classified files though.
How did you manage to skip completely over the 286? Dad and I used to hit the "computer fair" at the local civic center and find parts and upgrades, all the crazy shareware software stuff. I miss those days a lot.
