Viral 'Quittr' Porn Addiction App Exposed the Masturbation Habits of Hundreds of Thousands of Users A couple of 20-year-old developers make $500,000 a month promising to help men to stop watching porn, but exposed their private porn watching habits.

@emanuelmaiberg.bsky.social first reported about Quittr exposing user data in January, but was unable to name Quittr in because its creators, Alex Slater Connor McLaren, did not fix its security issues despite multiple requests and an offer from an independent researcher to help them fix it.

Hmmm...that's strange framing.

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

Washington state is about to ban noncompete agreements.

The state's House and Senate have both signed the bill, and it's headed to the governor's desk.

Washington would join a short list of states that prohibit almost all noncompetes.
