Why all the venting? Trans is hard-mode. They have to ‘come out’ and deal with prejudice, AND battle a hostile medical system, AND pay(!) for treatment, AND deal with side effects. Binding, hurts. Growing boobs, hurts. Surgery, really hurts. Then they can’t go pee for fear of offending cis people.

Think of it like “mundanes” or “the straights”. It is a hyperbolic vent, they are not talking about *you*. In fact it’s a good sign, because they feel safe enough to vent like that around you. But if you can’t get past ‘hashtag not all cis’, you might not be being the ally you hope to be.
