Quiet Storm was one of my favourite books of the year when it was released. Always Angel is another triumph - authentic voices and full of empathy. Both books allow children to find themselves and to appreciate others. Great reads too! #KidLitUK #UKKidLit

Honestly the best YA horror ever, treat yourself even if you don’t usually read YA. It’s so compelling, and utterly terrifying.
Yes! Me too! I don’t often read horror, but this book is so good. And so terrifying. Why don’t more people know about it?!
I was going to do this, but I failed! I managed to restrict myself to one a day, so not really a binge watch (I needed cheering up). Final episode tomorrow!

Erm, actually, the Malory Towers TV series is great! Still popular & I think it won some Emmy awards. More successful than the recent Famous Five adaptations I imagine.

So glad to hear it’s starting to make a difference. The lack of sleep is awful! It just makes everything else worse. (I keep thinking back to when I had tiny babies & barely slept, but the happy hormones - oxytocin? - kept me going.) I’d like to stop going blank & saying err mid-every-sentence.
I tried (and failed) to buy non-frivolous shoes yesterday because mine have holes in - I failed. But I did buy an entirely frivolous, huge pack of chocolate Santas!
Urgh! I’m so sorry. Is the HRT helping now? I’m not expecting a miracle cure. I mostly just want a good night’s sleep & for my moods to be something other than foggy/flat/tears/rage. I also have family history of osteoporosis & I imagine by bones are already crumbling… sigh
