This poem, entitled 'Needles' is presented in the form of a Christmas tree. These words form the shape of the tree: I wrote a poem in the shape of a Christmas tree but then forgot to water it and only a few days later there And these words are distributed around the base of my poem 'tree' as if they've fallen off it: were words all over the carpet
Todayβs poem is called βNeedlesβ.
sorry colleagues for cancelling all meetings in the next four days i just need more headspace to contemplate the potential dimensions of this hog
We've had some utterly amazing people on Science & Sorcery who are definitely worth your follows! Also me! π

Seeing some of the new arrivals posting about Bluesky being boring.
I hate to break it to you, but if you find Bluesky boring, that's 100% your fault, because the only person working behind the scenes here to make it not boring is⦠you.
Here's some of the βworkβ that I've done and recommendβ¦ π§΅

If you like to join it, please let us know - we still have room on this one or we can start a second one.
And if you are on it and at any point it is unsafe to be do get in touch!

A shocking description ππΎ of how women are being let down by scientific research communities in India. This is of course only mirroring many of the trends that we know exist everywhere else too. The π showing conferences where women are outnumbered or excluded entirely leaves one absolutely appalled.
