I saw an American robin this morning in my urban neighbourhood. I know they can overwinter here but I am taking this sighting as a sign of springโs imminent arrival.
So proud of kiddo! First, he auditioned for the school talent show, without telling us, even though he gets nervous performing in front of people. Then his basketball team has made it to the finals after starting the season with loss after loss. Gritty team win today!

My son has music lessons downtown Dartmouth on Sat so we have encountered this several years in a row. We always find some kind of street parking or paid lot. Itโs not that bad.

Kiddo plays some kind of sport, either for fun, as part of an organized practice or a game most days of the week. For some, it would be too much, but I swear, the kid is unable to fall asleep if he is not physically tired from running around.
Definitely one of the uglier buildings on the waterfront. Iโve never been in there so I canโt even speak to the space indoors but it does seem like a great opportunity for redevelopment.

He was quickly confronted by 3 women including my wife who all came out of their houses to hear the commotion. He eventually retreated back to his house. What a jerk. But at least now we know what kind of person he is. And he knows we donโt put up with shit from homophobes.
Neighbour who recently moved here from another province just showed his whole ass. It was 8 am and his outside yelling homophobic slurs and ranting that a homeless person stole from him. He was told in no uncertain terms that this is not acceptable on our street.
New electronic drum kit seems to be a hit with the boy. With headphones in, itโs not super loud and the dog isnโt losing her mind over it.

I was just saying this! My 10 yo can definitely play soccer or baseball with friends at the park without parental supervision and itโs a mere 5 min walk from our house, but crossing the busy 4 lane road is still iffy. One mom drive her kid even though he could walk and I walk my kid over there.
When your ADHD kid requests his mom give him a haircut at bedtime, using clippers bought during COVID times but have never been used, just say no.
Yes! My 10yo loves playing sports and watching sports. He does not need to see ads about gambling!
Pretty sure we lost our minds when we invited 4 boys over to decorate cookies and watch a movie. I forgot that they would find time to wrestle and cause mayhem.

Kiddo talking about baseball and Halloween treats with his friend on a landline in the living room is the funniest thing.
Kiddo and some of his friends (age 10) donโt have cell phones but some of us parents decided we would get old fashioned landlines and now they are calling each other like itโs 1990. So cute!
Ah, that sucks! Weโre lucky we can trick our dog and give her some โpeopleโ food without any issues. Maybe your vet can suggest a different form of the medication?
We have to crush it up and mix it in a fancy yogurt parfait with blueberries to fool our dog.
First basketball game of the season for kiddo ends in a loss but some great plays. In what I hope is a sign of maturity, kiddo is playing with Lego upon coming home and doesnโt seem upset about the result of the game. Plus, only one kid cried and only one kid had trouble with shoelaces.
We blocked YouTube from the family iPad so kiddo wouldnโt fall into some sketchy algorithm and now heโs watching cute and wholesome cooking shows instead.
