Quote from Dave Rapin, Foundar at Curling IO: “BEAM was the killer feature. None of these other options came close to what the BEAM VM offers: rock-solid concurrency, fault tolerance, and proven scalability.

Gleam gives us BEAM on the backend with familiar functional patterns on the frontend, all in a single language.

They were looking for:
- Type safety
- Massive concurrency
- Functional patterns
- Shared types
- Proven at scale

And Gleam checked every box!

Today I submitted my Final Degree Thesis idea:

Making a declarative web game engine based on Web Components and Gleam.

Super excited to write it and publish it for the people!

Testing can be fun, actually Writing and maintaining tests is boring. But they're also some of the most valuable code we can write. With this blog post you'll learn a criminally underrated testing technique to add to your testing toolbox that can make tests a whole lot more pleasant.

So far we have:
- accordion
- tabs
- toggle
- tooltip

Building these takes a significant amount of effort. A lot of care goes into accessibility, sensible keyboard interactions, docs, api design…

It’s fun, I don’t mind doing it, but I also don’t mind affording rent too yaknow 😅

Naughty Dog's doing great, man. That's why they haven't released any new games during the entire console generation of the Playstation 5, and why they've missed several internal deliverables in a row on their new game which probably isn't coming out next year if we're being totally honest.

Tiramisu v7.0.0 just got released!

The Gleam game engine just got a new major release with a better typesafe api, extraction of modules (quaterni, statemachine, savoiardi) and a change in direction with durations now typed as gleam/time/duration.Duration
