Call for Papers „Zukunftswissen“ und seine Herstellung in Wissenschaft, Technik und Gesellschaft. Sitzung der Sektion „Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung“ auf dem 43. Kongress der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie „Zukünfte der Gesellschaft“ vom 28.09.-02.10.2026 an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Wissenschaft und Technik tragen wesentlich dazu bei, dass gesellschaftliche Wahrnehmungs- und Handlungsmuster immer wieder neu verhandelt werden. So spielen techno-wissenschaftliche Praktiken und Systeme einerseits eine maßgebliche Rolle in der Antizipation zukünftiger Entwicklungen und generieren insofern ganz unterschiedliche Formen von „Zukunftswissen“. Dieses Zukunftswissen befeuert andererseits gesellschaftliche Zukunftserwartungen, die wiederum auf Wissenschaft und Technologieentwicklung zurückwirken und Gesellschaft nachhaltig prägen. Die Sektion für Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung möchte in ihren beiden Veranstaltungen auf dem diesjährigen DGS-Kongress diese beiden Seiten – also die Herstellung und die Folgen – techno-wissenschaftlicher Zukünfte in den Blick nehmen. Im Rahmen dieser Sektionsveranstaltung geht es uns um Ersteres: Wir möchten Zukunftswissen und seine Herstellung in Wissenschaft, Technik und Gesellschaft diskutieren.
