That can't be real. No way would he let himself be seen like that.
Honestly, I'd have thought even rashes have their pride and wouldn't touch something that vile.

I don't envy you that decision!
We are lucky enough to be in the last house we will ever own.
Looking forward to the photos!! Excited for you! ππ¦
I added that in case "carry on" meant "continue the thread." π
HeiΓe Liebe.
I read that as dialect for "FΓΌr alle, die fort (weg fahren) wollen." Any chance that's what they're going for?
A newspaper headline that translate from German to "Michael Jung's wonderhorse has died." On top of the newspaper is a booklet of 70-cent stamps from 2016 showing Michael Jung and his horse La Biosthetique Sam jumping over an obstacle during the cross-country event from the Olympics in Rio.
Not Sam, too!! πππππ
They won many gold medals and tournaments together.
We can see their stable and training facility from one of our hawking areas. I always thought one day I'd be able to pop over and see him.
Ha ha!! I wondered the same today! π€
Well, she's got great hair, so probably. π
Falknersdank! π
Wir sagen "Tidbit"! π
But when my colleague says it, it sounds like "tibbit", which I find adorable. π
We could also say "ein StΓΌckchen Fleisch".
W.T.F.?!? What the bloody heck is wrong with people? I'm so sorry your daughter had to go through that and hope her manager is supportive!
During training today Kaya landed on the ground after catching a tidbit in the air. I tried to coax her back to my glove but she knew I didn't have a tidbit on it. So she flew to a tree instead to wait until I was ready with the "hawk tax." π
I should have added #notmycat (though it's in the alt text). π
My phone is full of photos of Kaya. ππ¦
He's my friend's cat, but I love the pic.
That is admittedly frightening. π³
This is a CAT checkpoint. Show me the most recent cat image on your phone.
Or as it's called in our world, a "poo towel". π I also use it to cover her kill so she forgets about it and is willing to trade for a smaller tidbit. I think we have 30 of them. π
A bay and brown Harris hawk on her kill (a crow) on a grassy field with her falconer's leather glove to her left.
A bay and brown Harris hawk sitting on her falconer's leather glove looking to the right.
An angry Harris hawk on her falconer's leather glove. Her wings are out, there's blood from a kill on her beak, and she's screaming her "stranger danger" call because the photographer stepped an inch closer than the hawk wanted her to.
A Harris hawk sitting on her falconer's glove while the falconer talks on her mobile phone. The humans are trying to coordinate how best to get at the Egyptian geese on a nearby field.
Kaya didn't get a Nilgans (goose) today, but she did get two crows. I'm very glad, after 4 days in a row last week of no success. I wanted to end the season on a good note, and now we can.
Kaya had some great chances at them today, but the lil bahstuds got lucky. There was almost always some dumb stupid bad luck, like a car/person in the way at just the wrong moment. ππ»ββοΈ
It was ready, but she doesn't like it. π An acquaintance's Harris hawk apparently enjoys the hair dryer! I've seen videos.
This was my favorite novel for years. Had you read it before seeing the film? I don't know if I'd watch the movie.
A very wet Harris hawk sitting on her indoor perch over a brightly-colored poo towel with her wings hanging at her sides while she dries off.

Lil Missy decided to take a shower in the downpour today. At 17:00. π€¦π»ββοΈ She. Was. Soaked. With overnight temps at 5Β°C, I couldn't let her go to bed wet so I brought her in to dry off in front of the space heater.
Tomorrow we're having another go at NilgΓ€nse (Egyptian geese).
We'd all be at the vet/doctor. It would be dangerous for us all!
I guess all animals agree about the whole "visiting the vet" business. π
It's a 90-minute drive through 2 eternal Baustellen, but she's worth it and he's great!
Bad kitty!! π
I love the "again". π
The clinic specializes in birds and reptiles. This is relatively new, and the vaccine is actually for horses.
Falconers up north had started vaccinating their birds about 2 yrs ago. Last year I asked our vet to look into it, and after some research, now they do it here, too. ππ¦
A brown Harris hawk sitting on her falconer's thick leather glove, with which she is also holding a yellow booklet containing the hawk's vaccination records. They are in the waiting room of a veterinarian's office.
Kaya now has an Impfpass. She got her 1st of 3 doses against West Nile Virus this morning after a general exam that involved an Assi holding her securely while the vet poked around.
She was not amused.
The vet said she's in great shape, though. ππ¦
Absolutely! Same here. β₯οΈ
Oh, yumm!!! Looks fabulous π
I am now. I didn't actually know until I switched on the evening news (preempted), that the Olympics were about to happen.
