Why can't we get molecular structures of pores formed by antimicrobial peptides? Our data suggests the pores are stable but individual peptides constantly diffuse in and out. This "dynamic exchange" points toward new approaches for antimicrobial design. Our preprint: doi.org/10.1101/2025...
