I’m also still super proud that the main a11y page I wrote is still there and intact after all these years! It’s only been expounded on by the excellent team that we grew still operating today.
Putting in the work to deprecate toasts at GitHub was one of the more difficult but incredibly rewarding things I did there! I’m thinking about putting together a talk on the work involved on this one 🙂
This #GAAD and every GAAD, you can champion #accessibility by hiring accessibility specialists, paying them well, ensuring they have what they need to be successful and make a change, and by not putting their heads on the chopping block first whenever layoffs roll around.
