Mostly YA, but I'm obsessed with Andrew Joseph White. Rivers Solomon is also great from what I hear (I've only read the beginning of Model Home but that has been good so far).
Also YA and just fun is Don't Let the Forest In. Great ace rep, but i gathered what the twist would be pretty early on.
I'll always be fond of books with horror elements that are allegorical for queer experiencs, especially when there's also an explicitly queer layer and it's not just "queer coded." Same with mental health.
