Claude Opus 4.5 has a "soul document"? This is as fascinating as it is weird.
I wrote a lil something about my general screaming into the voidy-ness that I'm feeling about Sora and raising a kid in this day and age and other scream-worthy concerns.
Had to make sure someone tossed this name into the hat.
📺 HAPPENING NOW: House Judiciary Republicans come out the gate with unequivocal support for a sweeping, broad AI moratorium, which will repeal laws protect kids and make CSAM illegal in states like in states like Alabama, Arizona, California, and more.
The Wallaces might say, “I don’t know why politics have to get in the way of being friends.”
I cannot stress this enough: do not use email for organizing. Set strict retention so emails delete after a short period of time. Assume every Big Tech company will rat you out to the gestapo without lifting a finger to protect your rights theintercept.com/2025/09/16/g...

Premium newsletter: A 8500 word analysis of how everybody is losing money on gen AI, with some startups spending 100%+ of their revenue on compute. Even GPU providers are struggling, with years-long time horizons to break even, if profit is even possible.

Look, if I’m interviewing you for a writing/language-heavy role and you send me a ChatGPT-generated thank you note I’m gonna get a lil pissed.
Google won’t be forced to sell its Chrome browser and can keep paying companies to keep its search engine as the default on smartphones, thanks to a federal ruling.

Dude what.

But hey it’s theoretical and
I feel like this is my thesis sentence for a freshman year paper that I’d look back on in grad school and say oh god how I knew so little.
“AI is being used to ramp up tensions, glorify violence, and to [support] hate and prejudice.”

Super curious what Asimov would think about BlackRock naming their AI tool after him.
I like how one half of our economy is begging for better opportunities and living wages
and the other half is bloodlessly automating all labor while poking the other side with sticks
Why learn about intelligent criticism when you can simply say, “don’t be a hater” and move on?
