My PMS symptoms have changed over the years. I used to cry at the drop of a hat, now I get incredibly mad at stuff that hasn't even happened. Caught myself imagining talking to an ex friend and started getting mad about it til I realized I haven't spoken to them in 15 years.

And now for something completely different: I haven't posted from The Messenger for a LOONG time. Miranda and Gabriel find an abandoned gas station that's guarded by a guy who looks like a maniac.

Here's me, a fool, trying to write villains with a degree of depth and pathos and maybe even some charisma, when real world bad guys are actually boring, annoying, shallow, incoherent, and the least interesting piss-heads to walk the face of the earth.

Always have two manuscripts going at once. That way when you're hopelessly procrastinating on one manuscript, you can fiddle around with the other one, rearranging sentences and deleting adverbs. #writingcommunity #writesky

#awesomecharacters #writesky #writingcommunity Usually when I give characters names, they are placeholders that stick. There are a few times when getting the name right is important, like with Dr. Ben Ngo (Binh is a common Virtnamese name, often anglicized to Ben).

It gives me comfort to know that a majority of people are deeply suspicious of AI and don't want to use it in their jobs.
